Corona, California isn't one of the state's most well known tourist destinations, so if you're planning a trip there chances are you don't already know all the details about attractions you want to visit and restaurants you want to eat at. You probably only know about the specific woodworking auctions you plan on attending or where the relative you're going to visit lives. But we'll have you know that there's plenty to do in Corona for visitors and long time residents alike. Let us tell you about some of our favorite things.

Shopping and Spas

There are hundreds of stores selling everything from local crafts to designer clothes right here in Corona. Many of them are concentrated in the city's two major malls, the Chevron Corona Mall and the Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos. Be sure to check both out while you're here. Another great gift certificate idea is a day at the spa. There are several to choose from in Corona, including the luxurious Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa and the smaller Tranquility Day Spa. Both allow you to lounge in the lovely California heat while being pampered with beauty treatments.

Restaurants

After a busy morning attending meetings, visiting relatives, or learning about how to sell your jewelry, you'll be looking forward to getting something to eat. Whether you're craving Mediterranean, Mexican, or just a bagel, there's a restaurant in Corona that can hook you up. You can pop in to popular chains like Applebee's or Outback Steakhouse, or you can patronize an independent local establishment like Tasteful Cakes Incorporated or the restaurant at the Eagle Glen Golf Club. Check out as many as you can, and never eat the same way twice.

Entertainment

While not a major league sports destination for girls hockey tournaments like Anaheim or an entertainment hub like Hollywood, there are several performing arts companies to check out, such as the Crossroads Group, Act One, and the Corona Symphony Orchestra. If you really want a special treat, though, head out to the Corona municipal airport. The flight schools there offer half hour discovery flights where you can see the city from the air and even take the controls for a while!

Sports

For those of you who enjoy getting out there and hitting the links, Corona has several top notch golf courses. Check out Eagle Glen, Cresta Verde, Mountain View, and the Champion's Club in particular. Who knows, you might run into famous personalities like financial expert Dennis Gartman. If hiking, biking, or picnicking are more your style, why not visit one of Cornona's city parks? Promenade and Mountain parks have great playgrounds if you've got kids with you, or if your four legged friend is your travel companion, check out the Corona Dog Park.
