There are always going to be those that reminisce about the old days thinking that the way things used to be were so much better than they are today. It doesn't matter what specifically they're talking about either. It could be about the way cars were built, good old American manufacturing or football. For some reason, even if it's not true, things were better way back when.

It even applies to Corona or Ajax real estate. Some people prefer the way real estate was built years and years ago. While the way real estate was built back in the day has changed in many aspects it has also been able to stay the same in other regards. Homes then and now might not be all that different in some cases and those that argue it was better years ago might be both right and wrong.

A lot of today's Corona or downtown Toronto condos are built with better energy efficient HVAC system, are able to withstand faster and stronger storms, use healthier building materials that don't contain toxic ingredients, utilize rooms to open up as much space as possible and are built to withstand the cold and heat much better than homes built 50 years ago.

Advancements in technology and building supplies have made building homes more of a science in some regards, which has improved the way homes are built. It's much easier to accommodate cottage house plans with plenty of demands in today's home building era than in home building eras of the past.

However, the one area that is not up to par of yesteryear's home building is craftsmanship. A study revealed that about 15% of all new homes were found to have some sort of serious defect and that can be traced back to a result of builders today not going through vocational schools or apprenticeship programs to learn the proper skills necessary for building Corona or Toronto lofts.

Instead of becoming a "jack-of-all-trades" type of builder, more and more people who want to build homes have to become specialized in a certain field and focus on one area instead of knowing everything there is to know about building homes. Someone might be an expert in air conditioning and heating systems installation but not have a clue as to what the best method to install windows is. Whereas home builders in the past were knowledgeable in all aspects of home building.

So, as you can see, in some ways, Corona or London Ontario real estate properties built today are much better than those of years past but in other ways they just don't hold up like they used to.
